oma and mali 2

One month ago, when oma was in the hospital, we were afraid she
wouldn't recover. But luckily she's a strong woman. Yesterday I saw
her walking through the garden. I was so happy to see her enjoying
the sun and Mali's company.

Yesterday my mum and I planted new flowers in oma's window boxes. 

Oma and Mali were looking, Flynn tried to help a little by taking 

the plastic flower pots to every corner of the garden.

Oma is sick. The doctor came over. He told her to sleep and to stay in.
Mali keeps her company, he follows her everywhere. I pass by from
time to time, to have a little chat and to check if she's okay.

let there be light

I have been to Bruges, where I stayed at my mum's place. She lives 

with her cat Misty. He's been there ever since I was a teenager. It's 

always nice to be there; cozy and warm, during these cold and dark 

days.

oma, mali, misao and fukumaru

Since Laura brought her cats to the farm, oma has a new best friend. 

Mali is one of Laura's cats who's always at oma's place. Oma feeds her 

milk and meat. They love each other's company.

Every evening, before oma goes to bed, we hear her opening the front 

door to call loudy "poeoeoeoeoesjeeeee, poeoeoeoeoeoesjeeeeeee..."

Oma and the cat always remind me think of a beautiful photo book I saw
in Japan and I was very happy to find the book here in Belgium! 

The pictures below were taken by Misao's granddaughter. Misao is a 

Japanese woman who found a kitten in the shed . She decided to take 

care of it and now they are inseparable.

I can't stop looking at those wonderful pictures. They move me.

elio looking at flynn

Flynn only barks when she sees a cat. Elio ensures that he's on
a high spot to watch the dog, nonchalant.

fever

JJ is very sick. He got fever at night and it stayed all day. 

Besides that, he also has a torn calf muscle, which prevented him from 

walking. So he spent most of the day in bed. I joined him, reading a 

book and bringing food and drinks if he wanted some. 

Later this afternoon, I had enough of being lazy and I worked in the 

garden. There I met Elio, who seemed to enjoy his farm cat live. 

I hope JJ feels better tomorrow. I'm leaving to the Hoge Veluwe with a 

friend for three days. 

looking at the flowers

I often see one of Laura's cats sitting on the same spot in the garden. 

She always takes the same pose, with her back towards the grass.

It seems like she enjoys looking at the flowers.

Elio and the little mouse

Elio was hunting a mouse today. I really felt sorry for the little
mouse who ran for his life, while Elio was just having some fun.
Luckily, this story ended well; the mouse escaped under the barn
door.
