vivian maier

Today I went to an exhibition in Ghent, with pictures of Vivian Maier.
I liked her pictures a lot, but I also was quite fascinated by her
biography.
She kept her work secret and her pictures were only discovered after
she died. You can read the history here or see the documentary trailer
here.
Vivian Maier made a lot of self-portraits in mirrors and windows.
Some of them made me think of a picture my dad took, in the mirror
of a shop (see the picture below).
Because my dad is a photographer, I have many pictures from when
I was little. But only a few of us together. That's why this one is very
special to me.
