A little birthday treat for the children of Jonas' daycare, cows on our
daily walk, Japanese textile for Katy's birthday, Jonas with his white
tiger and Martha in our garden blowing bubbles.

Ooke and Emil came to our house today. We went for a walk with
Flynn.
O. tried to catch the rainbow in between my plants. And we fished
in the grass. A great last (holi)day!

Yesterday we had a barbecue for my niece's birthday. 

It rained cats and dogs. Luckily the sun came through, in the end.

Below pictures from Sarah, Tom and me. As kids we spent many

summer holidays together. Sweet memories.

the adventures of emil

My cousin and his son came by. It was a warm and lovely day. 

It's a pleasure to see Emil discover the world, full of wonder and 

excitement.

Today Sarah and Josse came by. We took a long walk, enjoyed the 

sun in the garden and lazed out in the sofa the rest of the afternoon.

Line and Ella came over today. They brought nice gifts for Jonas; an

old book about "the ocean and its inhabitants", little mittens, a plush 

mole and a wooden woodpecker.

During our walk we saw how they cut down the trees in the lanes 

behind our house.

Josse, Sarah and Els came to see Jonas. We had a coffee table and 

we took a walk, like on a real family Sunday.

Yesterday I drove from my dad's place to Antwerp, to see the the arrival
of Father Bruin who participated the Antwerp Race.
Today we had visitors for Jonas. He's so sweet and quiet. It's a blessing
to have a baby like him!

Line, Ruud and Ella came over. Line is a friend from high school.

My first year in Antwerp we did everything together. It was so good 

to see her again!

On our walk Ella cut her thumb pulling the grass. Luckily I had 

plasters to nurse her.

Today we got visitors; my niece Anna, with her one year old son 

and her little dog. And my aunt Greta.

Anna is very talented. Since she was little she makes illustrations 

about daily living. They are about relationships, love and pain.
